The Song Contests
The first of the Annual Song Contests was held January 3 through January 7, 2006, in the Seattle, Washington area (the actual location was the Martha Lake Community Club in Lynwood, Washington. The song contest was hosted by the Northwest Roller Canary Club and it was very exciting and with a total of thirty-five (35) teams entered it was the largest Roller Canary Song Contest in North America.
The second Annual Song Contest which was hosted by the Southern California Roller Canary Club, was held in Riverside, California, from December 11th through December 16th, 2006 at the Cornerstone Baptist Church which is located at 6021 Limonite Avenue, Riverside. This contest was one team larger than the first with thirty-six (36) teams plus one (1) single bird. And, again, it was the largest Roller Canary Song Contest in North America.
The third Annual Song Contest was hosted by the Oakland International Roller Canary Club, was held in Alameda, California, from December 11th through December 15th, 2007 at the Coral Reef Inn & Suites, 400 Park Street, Alameda, California. The total number of teams in the contest this year was twenty-five (25).
